전치사를 시작으로 명사절, 형용사절을 이끄는 접속사를 거쳐 드디어 연결어의 마지막 관문, 부사절을 정리해 볼 시간이다. 

 

명사절과 형용사절이 잘 정리가 되었다면 부사절은 5G 속도로 이해가 빨라질 거다. ( I do hope so!^^)

 

명사절과 형용사절이 여전히 알쏭달쏭하다면 다시 한번 더 꼼꼼하게 정리를 하고 오자.

◆ 부사절(adverbial clause)의 역할 : 주절의 동사 또는 주절 전체를 수식

 

◆ 부사절을 이끄는 접속사의 종류 

 

★  시간 / 때

1. when  (~할 때)
2. whenever  (~할 때마다)
3. while  (~하는 동안에) 
4. before  (~하기 전에) 
5. after  (~한 후에)
6. until  (~할 때까지)
7. since  (~한 이후로 계속해서)
8. as  (~할 때, 하면서)
9. as soon as  (~하자마자)  = the moment
10. once  (~하자)
11. given that  (~을 고려했을 때)
